Job Conditions: Full-time (8hrs) for a period of 3 months

 

 

CONTEXT - MSF Association

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organization that offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. The MSF movement is built around 5 operational centers (OC) supported by 263 sections worldwide.

MSF section in Greece was founded as an Association in 1990 and is a partner of MSF Spain within the OCBA (Operational Centre Barcelona Athens) network. The MSF office in Greece is responsible for the recruitment of expatriate personnel for the operations, communication and fundraising activities, and program support to the operations.

 

MISSION

Under the general direction of the Administrative Council (Board of Directors), the Association Department aims to foster active membership within the Association and a productive associative dialogue. The Association Department is a crucial link between the members, the Board, and the Associations of other MSF sections. Its role is to cultivate a strong, vibrant, well-informed association and open its dimensions to MSF international movement.

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Association Administrative Assistant will assist and contribute to the organization and implementation of the Annual General Assembly.

 

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

Assistance to the Association Coordinator tasks:

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the organization of the General Assembly (GA), such as:

  • Organize the logistics for the General Assembly
  • Provide assistance to the execution of  Annual General Assembly in terms of:
    1. Logistic Coordination support
    2. Notes/Minutes Keeping
    3. Is referral person for the invitees in GAs, providing practical support
    4. Preparing of a written transcript of the recorded GA Minutes completing the summary in collaboration with Association Coordinator
    5. Monitoring and updating the Association website and other social media platforms, assist with the drafting of the newsletter, disseminating information

Actively participates and contributes in the Association Department at ad hoc activities and tasks when requested by her supervisor

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in humanitarian sciences)
  • Essential working experience of two years in related relevant positions/ desirable in MSF or other NGOs.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office programs (excellent knowledge of word, excel and internet)
  • Experience with digital tools (i.e. website, blogs, newsletters, use of social media)

POST CONDITIONS

  • Position based in the Médecins Sans Frontières- Athens Headquarters
  • Full time position (3 months project)
  • Compensation according to MSF Salary Grid plus secondary benefits
